The proposed constitution does not provide a founding date, founder names or a verified chronological timeline. For that reason, this page presents BKI's origins through the shared heritage, aspirations and public purpose described in the constitution.

BKI emerged from a desire to unite Banyankole people across the world, preserve Banyankole cultural identity, encourage mutual support and contribute to sustainable community development. Its constitutional preamble grounds the organization in common heritage, culture, history and aspirations.

Because the source document is a proposed constitution and does not verify a founding year, founder names or early milestones, this website does not publish a fabricated timeline.

BKI's historical identity is tied to the preservation of Banyankole culture, traditions, language, customs and history. The organization also encourages the promotion of Runyankole as an important component of Banyankole heritage.

Its public story is therefore one of connection across distance: families, chapters, youth, elders, leaders and friends of Ankole working to keep identity, service and responsibility alive for future generations.

Approved historical dates, chapter milestones, founding records and convention history should be added through the CMS only when BKI supplies verified information. Until then, the public history remains intentionally careful and source-based.
